The prototyping insert nut for 1/4in dia. x 0.5in lead screw is made of self-lubricating polyacetal with a hex mounting flange and right hand thread direction. The Kerk 3DP Nut offering is designed for rapid prototyping with additive manufacturing. One of the challenges with the current material offerings in 3D printing is the lack of low wear, low friction materials.
